SRP works to regain power in Mesa

Salt River Project was working to restore power to most of Mesa and parts of Apache Junction on Thursday evening after a fire destroyed one of its transformers. About 80,000 customers were without power as the noon fire at the Thunderstone substation damaged at least one transformer and overloaded SRP's system within Mesa.
