'Open house bandits' preyed on RE agents
June 29th, 2007
Two people were arrested on Friday by the Missouri Highway Patrol after an alleged multistate crime spree in which they posed as homebuyers with cash. They targeted real estate agents, real estate offices and open houses. To protect its agents from this type of crime, many New Mexico real estate companies include safety training in new-agent orientation, and the Albuquerque Police Department offers a free safety course to companies.
